Garden therapy

A little garden therapy is good for the mind and soul.

We're home from PA and my brother is doing about the same. He was very happy to see us and that seemed to keep him in good spirits and a bit stronger. He has his good days and bad. Hospice has been wonderful. And once again, I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers that touch my heart and keep me going. Thank you.

So, we returned to warm weather here in the south and what a delight. I was able to spend the day outside in the sun and noticed a few blooms here and there. The pretty white crocus were blooming by the front door, and the Japanese Quince was a beautiful sight to behold after all the snow and gray weather in PA.

Since February is the time to trim back liriope and prune the butterfly bush, that's what I did.

A little work....a little play....Otis and Riley and I had a good day. It's always a good day when the sun is shining and you can be in the garden. Garden therapy...a little goes a long way.

Donna, I am so glad that you have been able to spend some good time with your brother. It must mean so much to him, as it does to you, too.

I didn't get to play outside yesterday, but I did enjoy the warm sun coming in my office window.

It's good to know that your visit boosted your brother's spirits.
Gardening is great therapy, and your photos show a lovely spring like day. I'm quite envious, tho' we are getting a thaw here today, and rain tomorrow. Spring won't be long now...!

Hi Donna,

So glad that you are back and enjoying your garden. How nice that your garden has buds - a sure sign that Spring is just around the corner. What a joy to have your little helpers, Otis and Riley, puttering around in your garden with you. I smile very time I see them on your blog.

I felt honored to be included on Barbara's Book Blog with you and Ruth. Your Winter art she featured was lovely.

Your Brother and Family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Erin

Your crocus and quince look beautiful. I always find being out in the garden on a lovely day to be very therapeutic.

Take care.

Hi Donna

Welcome home! It's good to hear that your brother was able to enjoy your visit.

It was 65 degrees here today, which was a record high, and I took a long walk to enjoy it.

Spring will take a little longer to arrive but I know it's right around the corner.:-)

Hugs, Pat
