If I lived close by I would come over and be the cookie elf...Baking cookies with two people are always more fun then baking alone...I spent today going through cookie recipes to take to the daughter's...We'll be spending next week baking side by side...I can't wait..
I've tried that for years and those rotten little elves never showed.
So I found something almost as good as the elves. A "cookie dough" place that sells pre-cut frozen Christmas cookies that taste as good as homemade. They even sell tubs of icing. Just pop them from freezer to oven, decorate, and tell people the elves made them!
Loved both of these posts! You know my fondness for elves - adorable illustrations! And, Otis and Riley? They are just too cute themselves!
I have a secret to share ... we are surprising our children with a puppy this Christmas! Our first! Sssssh - don't tell anyone!! *smile* So, my heart is just swelling with emotion and the pics of your pups just pull on my heartstrings ...
My little "elf" will come home Wednesday night in the form of my daughter who adores baking :-) I've got all the ingredients ready and waiting. If she could,I know she'd head over to your home too (but Otis & Riley might just go missing) :-)

My daughter and I are getting together to make cookies today. Send those elves over here!

Donna,
These illustrations are so lovely. Christmas wishes are for grown ups too, and cookies...I'll be over with a cup of coffee.

Please let me know if it worked. I may need to do some wishing, too.
