NC State Fair

What would fall be without the state fair?

We spent the day at the NC State Fair with our two daughters, granddaughter and son-in-law. I think one of the best things about the fair is the aroma of food as soon as you pass the gates. So the first thing we did was eat!

There is always so much to see and do at the fair and here are some of the events of the day.

The exhibits were great.

We did the crafts building too, and I was so busy looking that I didn't take photos. The only thing we didn't see were the gardens, and that will have to wait for another whole day!

A fantastic time!

This brings back so many wonderful memories from my time in Durham, NC. We would attend the state fair every year and had a really good time doing so. Thank you for posting these pictures Donna.

How fun for you guys. Nothing like a good old fashion fair. Especially in NY.

Glad you and your family enjoyed it.

I love county fairs! My grandpa was a farmer and it was such a big deal for him. We always had a great time. Looks like your walk was a fabulous success. Congrats. Mimi

What a glorious fair! Food is usually what I like best about any fair. With all those wonderful smells, I can't resist the food. Only after eating can I then concentrate on the other activites.
