Rainy gray day

Oh what a gray, gray day it is, and I should be happy for the rain but I'm just feeling blue.

It's been raining on and off for days and I'm just ready for some sunshine. I want to plant shrubs and fall flowers and dig in the dirt. I want to pull weeds and clean up the garden. I want to mow the grass and prune some bushes. I want to take Otis and Riley for a long walk to the park.

Maybe tomorrow...

Hi Donna
Your note cards are amazing!
We've had lots of rain here too and more forecast for this weekend. I like the blue "gazing ball" in your garden.

Donna

I think your NC rain is heading to NY this weekend!

I know what you mean...I know we need the rain in NC, but a day of sun would be great. And please make it on Friday, because we have 8 people coming over for a wine and dine dinner and we wanted to eat outside.....:-)
Hugs,
Penny

We've got rain out here in Utah too. We've been feeling a push to get things done in the garden before winter sets in. Hope to get to it soon...Mimi

Same here, Donna. I sloshed to my car after work, half of me soaking wet, and froze in my car. I wore a jacket this evening!

We need the rain but we aren't accustomed to it. I will need to push the dogs outside tonight as it is still pouring and flooding the roads. Quite a change from last September, huh?

Hang in there. The sun will shine real soon.

Hope you soon get some sunny dry weather to get all your "stuff" done and allow the doggies to romp.

It rained like that last week at the lake. I just saw Catherine's comment. She's just a little west of us. We are expecting the rain, she is experiencing sometime today. J dug two boxes of iris at his Aunt Ruth's yesterday evening. He wants to get them in this morning. Perhaps the rain will hold off a little longer.

Your notecards are beautiful!

Hi Donna, first, I love the cards you created in the below post, they are beautiful, especially the nests, they are my favorites.

I get the same way when it rains, even if we need the rain, after a couple days of it, I feel quite blue and when I feel that way, it is really hard to work and be creative.

being blue is no fun at all. i hope tomorrow is bright and sunny and you can get a walk in. i walked presley in the rain this evening but it was quite a challenge to hold the leash and an umbrella. here's to sunshine tomorrow!
