A change

A big change has taken place in our little household. My husband, Galen, started a new job with a local company last week. His old sales job required lots of traveling (5 states), and he would leave on a Monday morning and would not get home until Friday evening, staying in hotels the whole week. I would only see him on weekends.

This new sales job is a lot less driving, in fact, he'll be home every evening. He's been wanting this change for awhile, we both have, and now it's finally happened after way too many years. I have my hubby back!

I have to get used to sharing the house again! What a difference having him around every evening. It's a good thing!

I'm slowly adjusting and getting into a new routine and feeling a sense of contentment, peace and happiness.

Here's to getting my hubby off the road and back home again!

Congratratulations, Galen, on your new job!

Congratulations to your husband on his new job! I hope it works out really well for him.

After working out of town Monday thru Friday for almost 15 years, my husband just retired. It is an adjustment for sure but it sounds like your adjusting fine. I'm glad you've got your hubby back home more!

Congratulations! My hubby is a brick salesman and he's home almost every evening. I don't like it when he's gone so I know how you feel.

Hi Donna, I am thrilled for you! The past year my DH (owns his own business) has been paring down and comes home to stay at lunch time two or three times a week. At first I thought it would be hard getting used to him being around a lot but I find I quite like it. It's nice. I see you got some rain a while back. We haven't had any and I am praying for it. The yard is brown and everything looks so tired. Hope you have a great week. ~ Lynn

Congrats! That can be quite a change... my hubby was on the road for about 2 years... off on Mon... in on Fri and for a 4 month period only home a weekend here and there from Boston to California it was too far to come home all the time... we had quite an adjustment... sometimes I wish he would travel a little bit... because one of the good perks was we got to live in Boston for a glorious month!
Anyway... enjoy your new found time together!
