I just finished painting and decorating a tin roof bird house that Galen built in his manspace workshop on the weekend. You can see the construction here. It's made of pine wood with a tin roof and the bottom comes out for easy cleaning.
I propped it in the trumpet vine to take photos. It's decorated with a jasmine vine which is secured around the front and side, and it's painted in a soft sage green with a white wash over the top.
Having a tin roof to protect it from the elements, it should last for many years to come!
You can find it listed on my etsy shop. And do some browsing while you're there, I'm always marking things down.

Two talented people in the same house. That is wonderful. I love the birdhouse.
That's a great birdhouse. I collect them and especially like the ones that resemble churches.

Yesterday on my way to the bank, I passed by the pet shop and saw 2 little dachshunds puppies who reminded me so much of Otis & Riley :-} so tiny & adorable!
