Rain, rain, go away...

Ok, I know we need the rain, but I think I've had about enough. It's been raining on and off all week.

Of course, it is washing down a lot of the pollen, and the pollen is really bad this time of year.

This morning when I left Otis and Riley out, I noticed the back patio was covered with Lady Banks rose petals. There was yellow everywhere! The rain was washing down petals too! It looked so pretty!

It's continuing to rain as I sit here and type this late in the afternoon, and rain is in the forecast for tomorrow too.
(sigh) Oh well, April showers will bring May flowers.

What a beautiful view out your door!

We were just talking about the upcoming "pollen" season this morning. In about 3 weeks our covered porch will just be green. It seems to happen all at once.....probably because we have mostly Oak in our woods and they all leaf out at the same time. Then it is a major job to wash down the 1500 sq ft of deck.....the serious decorating can begin then. Yeah! I am always glad for some rain about that time.

Have a beautiful Sunday.....rain or sun. :-) Rosie

I swear, Donna...your garden looks so gorgeous! You must have a huge green thumb. I wish I could go out there and sit with my cup of tea this morning.:)

I love the garden beyond those doors. Thank you for introducing yourself to me. I love Otis and Riley, I have two dogs too. Your artwork is wonderful. I browsed your blog and I am so happy to have found you. It's nice how kindred spirits flock to the same blog. I recognize the thumbnails of some mutual friends on your comments. Have a lovely day, rain or shine. Karen

Hi Donna, We are having lots of rain too and lots more for this week. That's the reason we haven't made it to Nags Head yet because all the weekends have been too cold or rainy. But I kind of like the Spring rains. Everything looks so fresh and clean and the cloudy days makes my house look cozier with no dust. :)))
