An old mailbox

A few years ago, while shopping with my sister (antiquing and flea markets), I found this mosaic mailbox in a coffee shop gift shop. I loved it and thought it would look great on the front door of our house. I think I had it on the front door maybe a week and decided I didn't like it there and stored it away in the attic.

Well, I brought it down this week and decided to use it on the back porch. I've always loved the color of it and just wanted to have it out. So, it is now hanging on the screen door and I'm using it for my garden tools. In it I put my pruners and garden gloves.

Great idea, huh?! And it adds a little bit of cottage charm to the old back porch.

It's a great idea..!
It's so pretty, and Spring like. I like the idea that the pruners and gloves are close to hand for the little jobs that we spot when walking around the garden.
Have a great day..

Donna, I absolutely love this piece, it is stunningly gorgeous.

Ps...the painting slump will pass, you know we all do get them...no fun but it will pass.

Hi Donna
What a good idea using the mailbox for garden supplies. As you say it really does add some cottage charm to the back porch. I am wondering what caused you to not like it after you'd only had it such a short time?

Donna

Adds charm and you'll always know where to find those garden supplies that always seem to be missing, right??
