Signs of spring

a little yellow crocus popping it's head up through the ground...

a pretty blue violet...

a hyacinth...
daylilies...

daffodils...
quince buds...
jasmine...
and strawberry buds!

It was so unseasonably warm today it felt like summer! It hit 76 degrees! After taking Otis and Riley for a walk I came back and worked in the yard, cutting back all of the lirope and then pulled some weeds. I also had to fill some holes that "the boys" dug in the garden.
And guess what came in the mail?
My "English Home" magazine!
I'll be enjoying myself this evening curled up on the sofa with a cup of coffee and my magazine and, of course, Otis and Riley by my side.

I love this time of year when everything starts popping out of the ground...not the weeds though!

Donna, Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. Wish we were seeing signs of spring here. We had a snow storm last night and once again, everything is white! I must admit that it is beautiful though.

Well, just look at your little garden growing, promising more to come. How delightful. Hope you are having a lovely week, Donna...and your sweet little babies, too.

Donna, in what part of NC do you live? I'm in the Charlotte area and I don't see blooming like you have! We are still quite brown, to say the least.

Otis and Riley are a cute pair. I was admiring their painting on your sidebar with thoughts about having Chloe & Bella's portrait done.

Sounds like a nice evening with pups and a fave magazine.

Oh wow! Flowers and strawberries already? I have to say I'm a little bit jealous....we had yet another snowfall last night, the second one this week. I'm ready for Spring!

Hi there! Bad me...I haven't been by in awhile. Life has been wild, crazy and for me, but things have calmed down and I've enjoyed getting to "catch up" on what you've been doing. You've been busy too! Oh, I loved seeing all the photos in your Signs of Spring post. I can't wait! Would you share your Poppyseed Chicken recipe when you get a chance.

Hugs!
Kat
