Busy, busy, busy

Today I spent way too much time trying to hem a pair of pants. What a chore! All the measuring, cutting, pinning, sewing and ironing. It would have been so much easier to take them to the tailors but I always end up telling myself, "Oh, I can do this, no problem."

I did manage to get some other things done; the laundry, some cleaning, and even some errands. The one thing I didn't do is take Otis and Riley for a walk. By the afternoon they were running around the house in circles like little maniacs, sliding on rugs and jumping on furniture. Once they were tuckered out they found a spot to rest.
Tomorrow, we definitely go for a walk!

Look at those eyes!

I felt the same yesterday. Did not get home from work until about 9:00, still had grading to do, so Milo had to settle for some cuddling instead mouse on the string fun. :)

Sylvia didn't get a walk either. It was so bitterly cold and she refuses to go out unless she is 'desperate'..
Which she was at 3.00 am..!
There is a long story to this little episode, so I'll save it for a post. I hope Otis and Riley enjoy their walk today, and you too..!

Hi Donna,
I found a good taylor bout 6 months ago and wondered why in the world I never used one before! I get so frustrated sewing. And I never could find clothes that fit so I wouldn't buy them. Now, know I can go to my taylor, it is so much easier to shop!

Love your tulips from the previous post!

Well, Donna and Penny, if we lived closer I could have come to your rescue.......when I'm not playing.... that's what I do for my spending money. I supported my kids for 12 years as a single mother doing alterations about 60 hours a week......but at least I was lucky to stay home with my kids......now I just putter at it :-) Rosie

Hi, Donna, you are brave to tackle hemming! I always get my mom to do that.

Your doggies are SO cute! And those are beautiful tulips. I just got some today from my hubby for Valentines, so they should be nice & pretty for the day.

Hi Donna
Your dogs are so cute! I once worked for a lady who had a dog just like yours and she would jump up and grab food off the kitchen counter. I was there one time and saw her jump up and grab a donut off a plate that was too close to the edge of the counter! I wouldn't have believe it if I hadn't seen it myself.
I like Penny's suggestion about the sewing. Hope you have a great day.

I hate hemming too, but with four rapidly growing kids, taking hems up and down is one of those things I have to do.

I love those brown doggy eyes.

I've really enjoyed visiting your blog. That pincushion is so sweet ~ is it very old? Otis and Riley are sweethearts! I love your artwork, too!
