Do you have this plant growing in your garden?
I didn't know what it was until a friend of mine on facebook posted a picture of it the other day and identified it as Jewels of Opar, also known as the fameflower. This plant has been growing in my garden for several years now, popping up everywhere. I just thought it was some type of baby's breath. I love the pretty pink flowers and tiny burgundy and gold seedpods. It sows freely and is drought tolerant.

How pretty! I have never seen that before!
I had never heard of it either. I just checked it out and find that it isn't hardy here in my zone. It is edible and has medicinal properties...and they said "A leaf a day keeps anemia away." I love these old time tales.

Ho pretty! I love gifts from Mother Nature!
I love it! So dainty and the best part, it's free. Mimi
