December in the garden

Come in and enjoy the garden with me today. It's an absolutely beautiful day here in eastern Carolina and I'm getting my fill of warm weather, blue skies and sunshine. Sometimes just sitting in the garden with the sun on my face is all I need to rejuvenate my soul.

It feels like a spring day with temps nearing 70 degrees. I've been missing the garden...missing nature, with all the cold weather we've been having but what a lovely break today. The birds are chirping and the windchimes are softly tinkling.

Surprisingly, there are blooms in the garden!

It makes my heart happy.

A well deserved break from all the cookie baking I've been doing lately, don't you think so?

Yes, it was a well deserved break! We have 63 here right now. Hard to believe it is only 10 days until Christmas.
Hugs,
Penny

It is breaks in the cold like this that make me glad I live in the South. My roses are still blooming. I think you are like me and have a perfect micro-climate with the fences and trees. I notice the frost has gotten things out in other people's yards that are open, but mine still looks decent.

Here it is rainy today and quite chilly, at least for us...we aren't used to cold weather.

Your garden looks amazing especially considering the season. After the big wind we had, gardens are all in recovery mode.

Merry Christmas

DONNA, it looks like Spring at your house!!! I'll be right over --- I want to hang out in your garden too. Could you put on a fresh pot of coffee and pull out some of those cookies? I'll be there in the blink of an eye, along with two tiny 'wienies' to frolic with Otis and Riley. Hugs, dear friend.
