This is really easy. Dig up a small fern in your back yard along with some moss (that is ~ assuming you have both), put some soil in a pot, plant the fern in the pot and arrange the moss around it, then water well.
Cover with a glass dome.
Simple and easy ~ a small terrarium you can enjoy during the winter months ~ and a little greenery which is always a lovely sight.
So, Otis and Riley and I enjoyed a wonderful walk today, which we all really needed.

I can't believe you are only a couple of hours from me and you have no snow! We have had sunny days the last two, but cold and still have 8 inches on the ground.
Love the terrarium idea. I would have to go to the nursery to get the fern and moss, but I am loving this!

I think I need to make a terrarium. Maybe it would help with my January funk. We could use a little sun here! Mimi
What an excellent idea for the terrarium, Donna! :) Love seeing those boys out romping...amazing what a little sunshine and movement can do for the 4-leggeds AS WELL as the 2-leggeds. :D
Had no idea how to go about creating a terrarium Donna, thanks for showing how you did it.
Ah, your guys looks so cute outside. Our doggies are trapped snowed in areas around me. The whole ground is covered in the white stuff.
