A painted egg

This is an idea Galen came up with. A project ~ wooden egg mounted on a small wood base with a painting on the inside ~ (he was imagining a faberge egg).

So, after the wooden egg was cut out and carved, it was ready for paint. I painted it with an Easter painting, since it will be going to the museum shop downtown, yes, Easter already!

And here is the finished egg ~

a little chick inside her egg house and the Easter Bunny stopping by for a visit.

A faberge egg? I don't know. A stretch of the imagination, I'd say.

Enjoy your day!

How cute is this. A while back my daughter needed some backdrops to display her Beatrice Potter figure collection and I painted a fantasy wood for her, it was so much fun. You must have really enjoyed doing this.(-:

Galen had a great idea and you executed it so well. I love this ~ much more than a Faberge egg.

Donna, that is just as cute as it can be! I love this. You did a super job, and I'd say you could give Faberge a run for his money!

Charming Donna! So glad you stopped by for a visit and that we found each other.

NO! Stop! no simmering spices in the dryer...it is the lavender that I stuff into the bags for the dryer. It is so amazing and fresh. It is fun to be working out in the garden and to smell that scent.

All joys to you,
