Doggie day

Time for Otis and Riley to go to the vet.

I usually get an afternoon appointment so I have time to exercise them in the morning and that way they will be calm when they get there (sometimes this works!). Also your pain tolerance is higher in the afternoon, did you know that?

We take a l-o-n-g walk to the park,

and they run and run,

until they get tired.

Then we walk home. Riley walks through a nearby puddle to cool off.

In the afternoon they're in the car and we're off to the vet.

They get their rabies shots which only takes about two minutes, and they still fuss and whine and try to head for the door. They do fine though.

We're home now and resting comfortably.

What an ordeal!

They were at the groomers the other day and had their nails clipped, had a bath, and it was also time for their monthly flea and tic medication. I think they just want to be left alone now.

I did manage to get some painting done, and I did a bit of yard work, but mostly today was a doggie day!

Good Morning Donna, This was the cutest post ever with those darling dogs!....A busy day & then cuddled up together sleeping...so cozy & happy to be home!....& I think you ended up getting more done than I did yesterday!...I have so much to attend to, but "dogged" it too yesterday....sewed a bit, went to my grandson's swimming lesson & then to Barnes & Noble to pick up a few magazines! Great day, but so much procrastination!!!?? Will be better today!....Talk to you soon!...heidi Xo

I love your dogs pictures romping around. It just must tickle you at times.

I didn't know that about pain either. How interesting. I'll remember that one.

Glad you were still able to get things done. It's amazing how much you do. Even on dog days.

Have another great day Donna.

Ah, vet day...never any fun at my house either. I always take my guys for a walk in the mornings as well. They have very long hair and the morning is the only time that they can walk with out being too hot at this time of the year. Otis and Riley are the cutest.
