English Ivy

I like to plant English Ivy in some of my hanging baskets and pots and enjoy the lovely greenery during the winter months.

The cascading vines are beautiful and you can train them into a topiary form.

  3. Ivy is so user friendly, you can add seasonal colour in the form of mini pumpkins or red bows etc.
You are lucky it is mild enough to survive winter. Here it would not survive.

  7. I love ivy, too. I have a pot that has survived winter after winter and I planted another pot full the other day. Yours is really lovely!

  9. Good morning Donna! I LOVE English ivy and when we lived in Wichita we had it growing all over the front and back of our brick cottage. I've got a small flat of ivy I need to get planted here on the farm but I'm not sure where to put it...it can be so invasive that I have to be careful. I'm not sure how it will do here on the farm but I'm going to give it a try...somewhere. Enjoy yours!

  10. Ivy is one of my addictions. I have it planted in many pots outside, and I too love that it remains green during the winter.

I often cut mine to use in vases and table arrangements.
