I painted a pretty
mermaid on a piece of tin that will eventually sit on the top of one of Galen's new
whirligigs that he's making in his wood shop. The shape looks a little bit odd but it will fit on top of a gray
whale where the blow hole is, and will move up and down when the wind blows.
I will paint a mermaid on the other side just like this one and when the whirligig is finished I'll show you what it looks like and how it works!

Enjoy your day!
Oh...I can just imagine this and it is going to be so cute!

This is an adorable mermaid. Donna!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you fared well in hurricane Irene! We were also fortunate. I was in Denver visitng my children, but I worried about my husband and mother the whole time. I was relieved when the hurricane lost power and did not cause major flooding.
What a cute idea! I hope we'll see the finished whirligig.
ReplyDeleteOh how cute. I'd love to see the whirlagig when it's finished. The mermaid makes me think of the book 'The Mermaid Chair'.
