Ivy

If you have some ivy growing in your garden, dig it up, put it in a pretty pot (this one I got at Goodwill for $1.75) and bring it in the house.

Ivy is a nice plant to use in decorating. It brings greenery and freshness to your room.

  1. Ivy in a pot does work nicely in the home... I much prefer it to how WILD it grows in the ground outdoors... PRETTY photo!
    ENJOY!

  3. I think ivy is wonderful!! I actually winter over all my ivy. I have some in the house and some outside. There are so many different varieties.

  4. The ivy really looks at home in this lovely old pot.
I do prefer to see it inside rather then out, though I occasionally use it as a filler in hanging baskets.
Your pot was a good find..!

  5. Hi Donna
I just got a white tureen with no lid for $3 at Goodwill today and dug up some hostas and sweet woodruff, planted it and put it on the table onour front porch. Both of us are being thrifty today!

  9. What a lovely shot! Ivy is the only houseplant I can grow because the covered porch makes the house to dark for anything else. I need to have the green!

  12. I love ivy, I have it in pots all around my garden and also growing against a part of my fence. The idea of bringing it in is a wonderful one.;))

  13. Hi Donna,

What a great idea to dig up the ivy and put in in a pot - that way you have a lovely house plant and the ivy is "contained" and not growing wild in your garden.

I have some growing up the side of my bricks and need to remove it before it damges them - now I know what to do with it.
Have a wonderful week. Otis and Riley make me smile everytime I visit your blog.
    Blessings,
    Erin
