On my morning walk with Otis and Riley I picked this beautiful magnolia bud at the park, brought it home and put it in water. The petals are slowly opening. The smell is heavenly ~ it's like having a magnolia air freshener throughout the whole house. Ahhhhhh
I also spotted some little hummingbirds this morning flitting around the back porch. I'm hoping to get a picture of the little guys soon.
What a beautiful flowers. I didn't realize they had a scent... I haven't been able to catch a hummingbird yet this year either....they are moving fast! Hugs, Penny
Aren't the magnolia blossoms gorgeous. We have a few growing in our neighbourhood and between the lilac and magnolia the scent is amazing. How wonderful that the hummers have arrived in your garden! I hope you can capture a photo. Have a great weekend Donna.
