Summer sizzle

Another scorcher today. Temps nearing 100 degrees and muggy.

The National Weather Service has put us under a heat advisory. How about a nice big glass of iced tea?

"What dreadful hot weather we have!
It keeps me in a continual state of inelegance."

I love that quote, and it is quite appropriate for these days we've had. There seems to be hope of cooler days beginning tomorrow.

I don't mind being at work on days like this.

Not quite so hot here in the mountains...a high of 96 I think... Still way to warm.

Stay cool!

Hey Donna, We are having the same weather but I can't complain. This has been the most perfect summer weather wise. I never once had to water any part of the yard and just yesterday, because of the heat, watered the deck flowers. Have loved this cooler than usual and humidless days. (is that a word?:) Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Donna, it is hot here too! I love the geranium color! I also happen to agree with Jane Austen.

Thanks for the iced tea. So refreshing on a hot day like this!! Your quote is great and I can relate to it. I went out to water my garden this morning and definitely felt "inelegant" when I was done.

Our summer has not been as hot as usual, but still pretty warm. Those paintings you did for your daughter are wonderful. I'm so impressed with your steady hand painting the letters! Mimi
